It all revolves around the idea of a sustainable future, because that is the key to humanity’s survival. But nothing can be sustained if humanity does not understand that it must cooperate with other living beings in the world.
Art has perhaps never been more important than in this century, when people have completely forgotten the concept of beauty.
Values come and go, while slowly everything becomes devalued, without anyone noticing the change. You have to learn to see. The same way you learn to walk, read, use a knife or fork. The ability to see does not develop by itself. To be able to make sense of things around you, you have to understand them. Even to read, it is not enough to recognise letters. Understanding text is quite another matter. Art is about being able to see the essence of things. You can live without it, but it’s not worth it, because you’ll be nothing more than a vegetating creature.
You are what you eat, and this is an eternal truth in physical, spiritual and mental terms. But nothing is what it seems anymore.
