to despair one needs doubt
in this merciless progression
in the current of time objects fade ornaments houses fade
everything stripped bare and there is too much of it
worthless disposable dull replaceable
it goes unnoticed when nothing is missing
because there is always another not the same not it but what does it matter
no attachment nothing matters
anything can be bought anytime
and as the storage empties quietly in the back
it is unseen by the eye
a faint cry of those still alive is heard
the machine replaces everything with the synthetic
value composts into biomass
the cheap holds its feast above it
and through the cracks of certainty
darkness slowly seeps in
